Composition

Fluorometholone 0.1% + Tobramycin 0.3% Eye Drops

Dosage

Adults & child (>3 yrs) : 1-2 drops of EYETRUST-T Ophthalmic Suspension every 4-6 hours into lower eyelid.

Mechanism of Action

Fluorometholone is glucocorticoid used in the treatment of allergic and inflammatory conditions of the eye. Fluorometholone acts by the induction of lipocortins These proteins (lipocortins) control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid.

Tobramycin is an broad-spectrum antibiotic against gram-negative bacteria by binding to 30s ribosomal unit thereby inhibiting bacterial sysnthesis.
