Composition

Moxifloxacin 0.5% + Ketorolac 0.4% eye drops

Reduction of viterous prostaglandin e2 levels in retina after adminstration of ketorolac 0.4% better than nepafenac 0.1%

Contromax®-MK Eye Drops - Indication
Dosage

One Drop Four times a day begining prior to surgery till two weeks after the eye is operated.

Do not use while wearing contact lens

Moxifloxacin- broad spectrum antibiotic active against gram negative and gram positive bacteria inhibits DNA gyrase , topoisomerase enzymes necesaay for replication reulting in apoptosis.

Ketorolac is an anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Its anti-inflammatory effects inhibition of both cylooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2) which leads to the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis leading to decreased formation of precursors of prostaglandins and thromboxanes from arachidonic acid.
